DVB-based satellite communication technology has opened new markets for IP-based communication services via satellite. This technology provides efficient use of satellite capacity by using the available bandwidth for multiple communication processes in parallel. satXpress uses the FDMA/DAMA-technology for data transfer in the return channel, which is better suited for quality critical applications such as Voice-over-IP.
